1 28 oz can whole, peeled Italian tomatoes olive oil chopped onion minced garlic red wine tomato paste spices fresh basil

INGREDIENTS

Saute onions in a skillet. Add some garlic and cook for just a bit more.

If you want, add some red wine and cook until the onions have absorbed it all.

Next, swirl in tomato paste until it's nice and caramelized.
