The perfect tea cookie on a cold day

butter  sugar salt all-purpose flour almond extract raspberry jam, seedless powdered sugar water almond extract

Cream butter and sugar together in a mixer at medium until fluffy about 2 minutes.

Add salt and flour on medium-low until incorporated and dough comes together.. Add extracts.

After refrigerating dough for an hour, roll dough into 1" balls on to a cookie sheet.

Using your thumb, gently make an indentation into the center of the cookie. Don't push too hard!.

Use a baby spoon to fill each thumbprint cookie with some jam.

After baking and cooling, drizzle cookies with a glaze- get the kids involved!
