Best Turkey Brine Recipe

...and it's a dry brine!

WHY?! SPACE SAVING.  A wet brine is messier and you need a large container to hold the bird along with the water. NO RINSE. A dry brine adds tremendous flavor without rinsing.

Is dry brine as good as a wet brine?

INGREDIENTS

whole turkey breast kosher salt baking powder brown sugar paprika garlic powder thyme

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Read through the recipe completely

STUFF TO DO

Grab a large brining or ziploc bag and a roasting pan

Assemble all your ingredients

Flour Bowl

Mix brine ingredients in medium mixing bowl until fully blended.

Coat the inside and outside of the bird with the dry brine. Be sure to use up all the brine!

Place turkey inside large ziploc and set on a sheet pan in the fridge overnight. Remove turkey and prepared for roasting.

Roast turkey according to recipe or package directions. You want it to be 165˚degrees 

Use sliced sweet and russet potatoes underneath the brined bird as your roasting rack. They catch all the salty drippings and make for easy cleanup!
