Perfect Poached  Egg

Grab a small fine mesh or small strainer

STUFF TO DO

Use a wide saucepan...at least 4qt.

Gather your favorite eggs benedict or avocado toast ingredients

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Set strainer over a bowl large enough to hold it in place. Crack egg into strainer and allow excess egg to  strain.

Simmer water in a wide saucepan to 170˚. Tiny bubbles in the simmering water make a totally cooked white and perfectly cooked yolk.

Gently lower egg into the simmering water, tilting strainer to add egg to the saucepan.

Cook egg for 3 1/2-4 minutes in simmering water. This will give you a poached medium egg.

Using a slotted spoon, remove egg and set on a clean cloth to dry. You just made the perfect poached egg!
