The secret to the BEST HOAGIE SANDWICH is all about preparation and a brick! I'm teaching you all the tips and tricks you need to make the best pressed sandwich!

Gather a big brick and a big cast iron skillet.

STUFF TO DO

Get a bunch of your favorite deli meats and cheeses.

And all the rest of the ingredients!

INGREDIENTS

loaf of ciabatta bread thin sliced hard salami roast turkey, sliced thin smoked ham, sliced thin sharp provolone, sliced extra thin balsamic vinegar olive oil Dijon mustard oregano thyme salt and pepper red onion slices

pickled onions

Slice red onions super thin and add to some white vinegar to get them all pickled!

brick prep

Wrap an ordinary brick in aluminum foil...easy, right?

bread prep

Slice the ciabatta in half lengthwise and scoop out the inside.

make the dressing

Mix up the dressing and brush on the inside of both halves of the bread.

press the sandwich

Wrap the sandwich up in foil and top with a brick sitting in a cast iron skillet. Refrigerate overnight and slice the next day for the best party sandwich...great for a crowd!
