Pre-Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350˚

Assemble all your ingredients

INGREDIENTS

butter brown sugar eggs vanilla oatmeal flour baking soda salt cinnamon 1 jar of fig butter or preserves

Mix all the dry ingredients together and then cream the sugar with the butter. Add the eggs and vanilla.

Pat 2/3 of the dough into the bottom of a 9" square baking pan.

Pour the contents of a jar of fig butter or preserves over the crust layer. Spread out evenly.

Baking Tip

With the remaining dough, clump tablespoons of dough over the fig butter. Don't worry about filling it in!

Bake until golden brown on top in a preheated 350˚ oven.
