Authentic Caesar Dressing (no egg)
An authentic Caesar salad dressing needs anchovy and this creamy, easy one isn't going to disappoint. It has the perfect amount of salty umami but is missing one traditional Caesar ingredient: egg. Ingredients
- ½ cup mayonnaise I use Dukes or Hellman;s; not low fat or reduced
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 1 ½ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons anchovy paste available in a tube
- 1 ½ Tablespoon minced garlic from 2 cloves
- ⅓ cup parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Mix the mayonnaise and oil together. Whisk in the red wine vinegar and worcestershire.½ cup mayonnaise, 2 Tablespoons olive oil, ¼ cup red wine vinegar, 1 ½ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
