I have made the same beef tenderloin recipe for over 20 years and it has become a tradition whether served whole at Christmases and family celebrations or as beef sandwiches and sliders at graduation parties and game day gatherings. And it’s always accompanied by a big bowl of this horseradish mustard sauce.
Mustard horseradish sauce is also so good with:
- in this juicy chicken sandwich
- over spicy chicken salad
- with a Buffalo chicken pizza as a dipping sauce

Here’s what to gather from the pantry:
2 steps to horseradish mustard sauce

Can it be any easier?
Recipe notes
- If you don’t have prepared horseradish (which is closest to fresh), you can use creamy horseradish.
- For maximum flavor, mix the spread up to 4 hours ahead.

Love this quick, but perfect sauce! I made a mini batch to serve with pan seared pork chops and it was so good that I had to dunk the roasted potatoes in it.
So glad you enjoyed the horseradish sauce, Barb! We’ve been making it forever and a day and I even love it with pretzels but I’m a mustard girl for sure! 😊
One word, Excellent and beyond.👏👏👏
Thank you so much Felix!😊 It’s the easiest and best sauce to serve with beef, right?
